Eight nabbed in separate drug ops in Cebu

EIGHT drug suspects were arrested in separate buy bust operations in the towns of San Fernando and Carmen and Naga City last Monday.

In barangay Balod, San Fernando 35-year-old Nelson Tangob, his 50-year-old father Cases, Nelson’s 42-year-old cousin Cherben Tangob of Barangay Sangat, San Fernando, 66-year-old Salvador Enad and 24-year-old Kevin Lyod Undiano of barangay Balod were arrested in a buy bust operation at 6 pm last Monday.

PO3 Marjoquin Missuari of the San Fernando police said the operation was a joint effort with the regional Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Regional Public Safety Battalion.

Recovered from the suspects were six small sachets containing shabu, drug paraphernalia and one loaded .38 revolver.

In barangay Tuyan, Naga City, Edward Ababa and his 51-year-old father Rodrigo were also arrested in a buy bust operation.

Recovered from the suspects were 13 small sachets containing shabu worth P7,000, P200 in marked money, one .38 revolver, one .22 revolver and one improvised shotgun.

In barangay Dawis Norte, Carmen town, 31-year-old Wendel Sanico, a resident of the area was arrested by police. Taken from his possession were six small sachets of shabu.
