DESPITE her hiatus from the scene, Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo is still making waves with her talent.
Sarah has won the 10th International Singing Contest: The Global Sound for her song “Kilometro.”
Viva Entertainment recently published on its website that the Sarah competed against
26 artists from different countries.
For winning the contest, she made history as the first returning singer to win the competition and making the Philippines as the first Asian country to win the award. The countries that participated in the contest include The Netherlands, France, USA, Sweden, Singapore, United Kingdom, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Latvia, New Zealand, South Korea, Italy, Colombia, Denmark, Australia, Venezuela, Brazil, Turkey, Peru, Belarus, Argentina, Lithuania, Mexico, Malaysia and Albania.
It will be recalled that in the contest’s fifth edition, Sarah’s 2011 hit “Sino Nga Ba Siya” also became an entry but failed to make it to the final round.
The winner in the contest is determined by a jury and number of views of the official video of the entry song on YouTube.
