GIVING life to star-crossed lovers, Lawiswis and Pagaspas of the hit Kapuso telefantasya series “Mulawin vs. Ravena,” Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix have their hands full with taping schedules, guestings and shows.

But that doesn’t mean they don’t find time for their priority — their studies.

Having to shoot for the GMA primetime show thrice a week, Bianca juggles her time between work and being homeschooled (she is currently in Grade 11 or senior high school), while her love team partner, Miguel is also pursuing an entrepreneurship course at De La Salle University.

“Basta the plan is not to stop, kailangan tuloy-tuloy lang. Pero kadalasan busy, so sa online nalang ako sumasagot sa exams,” said Miguel, who is currently in his third year in college.

The two stars were in Cebu recently for two Kapuso mall shows with “Mulawin vs. Ravena” co-stars, Derrick Monasterio, Bea Binene and Kiko Estrada.

Bianca revealed that for college, she plans to take up not one but four courses.

“Gusto ko mag-take-up ng business, culinary, interior designing and fine arts. Iti-take ko po lahat ‘yun but not altogether at the same time. Siguro ang una kong kukunin is business,” she added.

Aside from the usual taping, both of them go to the gym for core strengthening and metabolism exercises needed for their stunts.

“It takes dedication kasi magpapakapagod ka sa training mo sa martial arts, acting workshops, fight scenes, dapat may cardio (exercises) ka para sa fight scenes,” said Miguel when asked about his preparations for the role.

In “Mulawin vs. Ravena,” Lawiswis and Pagaspas are Mulawin childhood sweethearts willing to do anything in the name of love.

They promised to never leave each other’s side. But as star-crossed lovers as they are, outside forces are keeping them apart, with an unfortunate curse by Dakila that they both turn into an owl when separated.

When asked how would they like the story of Pagaspas and Lawiswis to end, Bianca and Miguel said they want their characters to have a happy ever after together.

“Gusto ko ‘yung story ni Pagaspas and Lawiswis is kung saan man sila magpunta, maging tao man sila or hindi, makalimutan man nila yung isa’t isa — kasi nga pag tinanggal mo ang ugatpak mawawala ang memories mo — kahit ganun, the attraction is andun pa din,” said Miguel.
