Residents of the southern town of Minglanilla can expect employment opportunities from the soon to open commercial complex and amusement park in the area.

According to Belmont One President Chester Lim, they are expecting to create at least 500 new jobs from the complex they are developing in Barangay Calajoan.

The Belmont Group broke ground for its Belmont One complex last Tuesday. It sits in a 3.5-hectare lot and will feature a hotel, restaurants, retail and shopping centers, a world-class theme park, and the first Snow World in the southern part of the country.

“This will be huge complex that will bring people together and will highlight Minglanilla as a prime tourist destination. We expect at least 500 new jobs and one million visitors during the first year of operation,” Lim told reporters.

According to Lim, the amusement park, which is named Anjo World, the Snow World, as well as the different tenants of the Belmont One complex will be needing workers for their respective shops.

Among the tenants they are expecting in the complex are Robinsons Supermarket. There will also be a huge food park that will have six restaurants and different food carts.

Lim said they were targeting the completion of the project in the first or second quarter of 2019.
