Families of  inmates suffering from measles won’t be allowed to visit the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center for now.

Health Regional Director Jaime Bernadas said this is to prevent the relatives from getting infected.

For now,  47 inmates who are suffering from measles are temporarily isolated from other inmates.

Bernadas said instructions were already given to the jail warden and the nurse.

He  said they are  monitoring other jails for any measles cases.
