PREPARE to be blown away by the vocal talents of the country’s very own Filipino Pride “American Idol” Jessica Sanchez as she
performs in Cebu for the first time tonight at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
“It’s been great here for me and actually it’s been an overwhelming tour as I also worked on my album and I just got my wisdom tooth out. But it’s been beautiful here and I wish I had more time to kind of explore Cebu but definitely, I will be come back and enjoy it next time. For now, I am preparing for the show, getting ready for the audience and I am excited to see the energy here,” Sanchez said in a press conference last Sunday.
Sanchez has been one of the most successful “American Idol” runners-up to date. The Filipino-Mexican-American singer and songwriter was the runner-up on the 11th season of the reality show and has toured extensively in the US with a recurring role in the fourth season of the hit series, “Glee.”
Known for her uniquely wide vocal range, Sanchez said she is bent on giving a worthwhile performance
for her Cebu fans.
“I will be bringing back my highlights during my ‘American Idol’ days. I will be doing songs that I did during the ‘Idol’ show so it’s having the crowd reminisce and have a good time. It’s like having a live feel during the ‘Idol’ days,” she said.
