Cebu developer breaks ground in Mactan

AppleOne to build an IT center coupled with lifestyle features in the historic resort city

20 March 2019 (Cebu, PHILIPPINES) – Today, rising Cebu-based developer AppleOne Properties, Inc. (API) will break ground on a lot in the export processing zone in Mactan, Cebu to signify the construction of a PEZA IT facility enterprise.

The development, Mahi by AppleOne Properties, Inc., will stand on an area of 7,500 square meters and will have the following space allocations: 30% IT industry, 29% common utility and facility, and 41% hotel and retail spaces. Facilities will include a 5-storey structure with IT capabilities, 2 floors of office spaces, 3 floors of commercial and retail spaces, and a rooftop bar and restaurant.

A conveniently-located walkway and transportation hub will stand adjacent to allow easy access. The  center will development will also house a hotel with 12 floors and 180 rooms.

In the hotel component, API signed into contract with the world’s largest operator of hotels, Marriott International, for the use of the franchise Fairfield Inn & Suites. Fairfield is Marriott’s second largest brand and a preferred business hotel worldwide.

Mahi is strategically located in MEPZ 1 along M.L. Quezon Ave., just 2 km from the Mactan Cebu International Airport, and 5 km from Cebu’s world-renowned beaches. The project is set to be a premier lifestyle destination in Mactan, as well as a significant contributor to the growing progress and dynamism of the area.
