CEBU CITY, Philippines – Cebuanos are in for a treat this Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2020 as state meteorologists announced that fair weather will prevail throughout the day.

The Mactan Bureau of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa-Mactan) told Cebu Daily News Digital that Metro Cebu will be experiencing a cloudy day, with sunny periods and isolated light rain showers.

“It will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies for today with isolated rain showers. We’re not expecting any heavy rains. Put it simply, it’s going to be a cloudy day with sunny periods,” said Nedz Saletrero – Delfin, weather specialist of Pagasa-Mactan.

Pagasa-Mactan also said cool wind will be felt due to the presence of amihan or the northeastern monsoon.

“We can expect cool wind due to the presence of amihan, with temperatures ranging between 25 to 30 degrees Celsius,” Saletrero-Delfin added.

Based on their current data, Saletrero-Delfin said this type of weather will likely last throughout the weekend since there are no low-pressure area (LPA) and other major weather disturbances being monitored within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). /elb
