Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino made another milestone in saving the Earth in a 60 minute campaign last March 28th. Lights were switched off in all major areas of the hotel as participation in the global campaign Earth
Hour. The lobby and Uno restaurant was veiled in the beauty of darkness with the flickers of candles placed in the classic candle holders that surrounds the exquisite centerpieces.
Guests were encouraged to observe the 60-minute campaign.
This year, Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Mactan was listed among the events worldwide hosting the Earth hour activity as logged on www.earthhour.org/tracker.
Earth Hour is to highlight the major campaign in encouraging businesses, communities and individuals to take simple steps needed to cut greenhouse gas emissions and become more energy efficient. It is embedded in the Waterfront Way apart from maintaining a clean working environment-also to conserve cost and together with WAHC peers and the management team spearheaded by Hotel Manager Benhur M.Caballes Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino saved a total of 598,592.48 Kilowatt-Hour from 2012 to 2014.
