Mills dived into the purpose of the said awards ceremony and that is “to really promote [the] Philippines and to promote organizations like yours to the world and to the Philippines.”
Chairman and senior partner of PwC Philippines, Roderick Danao walked everyone through the nomination process. He stated that they included some of the best professionals so theycan corroborate “to ensure that there is a robust and fair judging process.”
“We include technology and some of our most experienced professionals who ensured 1) accuracy of tabulation and 2) to safeguard the confidentiality of the process,” he continued.
Representatives from each award came to the stage and announced the categories that would be part of the said awards ceremony. Among those categories are Company of the Year, Techblazer of the Year, Technology Company of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Most Innovative Company of the Year, Sustainability Company of the Year, CSR Company of the Year, Diversity Company of the Year, Woman Leader of the Year, and CEO of the Year.
During the Q&A, when asked about recognizing women leaders to build an inclusive business environment, a representative from KMC Solutions stated that “while we recognize women leaders, it will boost collaboration in the corporate world.”
“I think women leaders have very unique contributions to business[…]while we would probably say men are, you know, the ones making the decisions, but there are particular characteristics of women that actually make a lot of difference in the business space. We’re more motherly, we’re [more warm], we create love and care in the workspaces,” she continued.
She also added that people are now looking for “genuine care in the workspaces” and that “it will never be dominated by women, but working together and coming along, both men and women, will make a perfect business for all of us.”
In celebration of the momentous occasion, a ceremonial toast was done to conclude the event.
The Asia CEO Awards will be held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom on October 14, 2025.
