SHAABAA 29: Batch 2003 Cebu Landmasters still clean; ARQ routs 1996
CEBU CITY, Philippines — Batch 2003 Cebu Landmasters Inc. secured its sixth straight victory on Wednesday in Division A of the SHAABAA Season 29, at the Magis Eagles Arena in Mandaue City.
The league leaders made quick work of the undermanned Batch 2000 Core Pacific, cruising to a 72-37 win in the ongoing elimination round.
Justin Huang led Batch 2003 with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while Carlo Alerta added 10 points, seven assists, three rebounds, and a steal to support the offensive charge.

For Batch 2000, Joseph Lo posted a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds with one assist and one block, while Benedict Chua also scored 14 points. Despite their efforts, Batch 2000 slipped to a 4-2 win-loss record, while Batch 2003 remained perfect at 6-0.
Batch 2003 entered the matchup fresh from a dominant 99-54 win over Magis Medical Services last May 30.
Batch 2001 ARQ scores another easy win
In another Division A encounter, Batch 2001 ARQ delivered another commanding performance, defeating Batch 1996 Big Three Pizza, 68-53, just days after a lopsided 109-46 win over Batch 2002.
Mark Hing led ARQ with 20 points, the highest output of the game, along with six rebounds and two assists. Jason Arquisola contributed 12 points, six rebounds, six assists, three steals, and a block, while Josef Reoma also chipped in 12 points as Batch 2001 improved to a 4-1 slate.
For Batch 1996, Andrew Po tallied a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Roderick Mangubat added 14 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. The loss dropped them to a 3-3 record.
Division C winners
In Division C, Batch 2014 secured its fourth win in six outings after defeating Batch 2026 Rufrance LPG, 84-74.
Lucky Ecarma delivered a standout performance with 29 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, and a steal. Noriko Benedicto added 13 points, while Jair Igna and Arvid Jason Ong chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Despite the loss, Batch 2026’s Benj Antoni Chua put up a huge double-double of 31 points and 19 rebounds, the highest scoring output of the night, along with five assists and two steals. Teammate Shawn Ayuda added 19 points.
Meanwhile, Division C defending champions, Batch 2018-CORE logged an easy win over Batch 2022-Comforser Tires via a default. They now have a 6-0 record to lead Division C comfortably atop the standings.
