More new F&B concepts to be introduced by Cebu restaurant group
With the opening of more malls in Cebu City, Pages Holdings, Inc. plans to expand its existing restaurants as well as introduce new food and beverage concepts.
“Cebu has a lot of opportunities for us. Daghan kaayo’g developments (there are many developments). We want to be a part of that,” said Bunny Pages, chief executive officer (CEO) and this year’s Entrepreneur of the Year awardee.
He was referring to newly opened malls SM Seaside and Robinsons Galleria Cebu.
Pages Holdings recently opened its second Taters in Cebu in Robinsons Galleria.
Earlier this year, it reopened its Japanese-themed teppanyaki restaurant Mismukuno in Ayala Center Cebu. During the opening of SM Seaside Mall, they opened three Thirsty outlets.
The 220-square-meter Kan-anan by Lantaw, a new dining concept introduced by the company, is set to open in Robinsons Galleria before the end of the year.
The group is also currently developing Sushi Boy, another Japanese-inspired restaurant, in their Cafe Racer Complex located at the North Reclamation Area. Situated across Cafe Racer, Sushi Boy is designed to be the Japanese equivalent of Pages Holdings’ Mooon Cafe.
“The lot that Cafe Racer sits on is big – 500,400 square meters. We’re going to develop that as a destination, especially for motorcycle and car buffs,” Pages said.
They are also looking at expanding their House of Lechon to SM Seaside and Cebu IT Park, the executive added.
Pages Holdings recently acquired a 1,400-sqm lot in IT Park’s newest development, Garden Bloc IT. Asked what their plans were for the location, Pages said that nothing has been set in stone, but Cebuanos can expect two or three restaurants to rise there.
“We might put up a Hawaiian luau type of barbecue restaurant and another House of Lechon maybe. Around two concepts, maybe three. We don’t know yet,” he said.
He added that he will be sitting down with the rest of his family to hash out the plans for the lot, as well as with IT Park developer Cebu Property Ventures and Development Corp. soon. By the first quarter of 2016, a plan should be in the works.
“When we saw the opportunity, we decided to get it and then think of what to do with it,” he said.
