The Sinulog Devotee City will start accepting transients on Friday, said acting Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella.

He told a news conference on Tuesday that 120 container vans have been placed in Compania Maritima near Cebu City Hall to house the visitors from out of town who are here for the Sinulog festivities but don’t have a place to stay.

They only need to present their bus or boat tickets to get a slot in the Devotee City.

The Devotee City can accommodate up to 3,000 persons, according to Labella.

Thirty portable toilets and 10 portable showers are now placed in the area.

Metropolitan Cebu Water District public relations manager Charmaine Rodriguez-Kara has assured that there will be continuous water supply in the area
