Two tourists lost at least P134,000 worth of gadgets to unidentified burglars who ransacked their rented room in barangay Basdiot, Moalboal town in southern Cebu last Saturday night.

Anja Scherpinski, 38, a German national, said they discovered the burglary when they woke up on Sunday morning.

Scherpinski was with her daughter and partner Hoijin Lee, 37, a Korean national.

She said they had placed their gadgets on the bedside table. One cellphone was being charged in the bathroom.

Police said they are looking at an inside job as there was no sign of forced entry to the victims’ room.
