Public workout for Pagara, Magsayo in Minglanilla this Sunday

ALA Boxing Gym’s Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo and Jason “El Niño” Pagara will hold a public workout in Minglanilla town, south Cebu this Sunday (March 20).

The event is set to start at 5 p.m. at the Minglanilla Sports Oval.

Both are preparing for their respective undercard bouts in the world title showdown between reigning WBO super bantamweight champion and five division world champion Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. and Hungarian challenger Zsolt Bedak on April 23 at the Cebu City Sports Center.

The 20-year old Magsayo, who sports an immaculate record of 13-0-0 (win-loss-draw) with 10 knockout victories, is the reigning WBO Youth featherweight champion. He is set to fight former world title challenger Chris ‘Hitman’ Avalos (26-4-0, 19KOs) of the United States.

Pagara’s opponent has yet to be named as of press time. Pagara is the WBO international super lightweight champion who has a record of 32-2-0 with 23KO wins.
