Batch 1995/New Millennium Hardware gains share of top spot

BATCH 1995/New Millennium Hardware forged a two-way tie at the number one spot after it demolished CEC-C/ATS Aljhune Tinsmith/NST Rubbers, 74-53, last Tuesday in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association (Cecaba) 15th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup at the CEC Gym.

Donald Anthony Ting had solid all-around game as he posted 31 points, six steals, five assists and five rebounds to lead Batch ’95 to its seventh win in eight games that tied them with defending champion Batch 1999/Southchoice Inc. , which is also 8-1 (win-loss).

Dean Dy Teves backed Ting with 14 markers, while Joseph James Yu pitched in 11 markers.

Kevin Mamac scored 14 markers, while Joseph Aljhune Areja had 10 points for CEC, which tasted its sixth defeat in seven games.

Tallying its third win in seven outings was CEC B/PTT/Roadstar, which humiliated Batch 2000, 109-53.

Rex Allinson led the 56-point demolition with 21 markers, while Bryan Renejane (13 points), Kent Uy (12) and Roger Donayre Jr. (12) added a combined 37 points.

Pimco Pimentel scattered 12 markers for Batch 2000.
