Fifteen-hour water interruption in 44 areas served by MCWD

ABOUT 44 areas serviced by the Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD) will experience water supply interruption for 15 hours from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily starting Thursday.

“Starting today, there will be low pressure to no water supply for 15 hours,” said Charmaine Rodriguez-Kara, MCWD spokesperson.  The areas include Lawaan, Lagtang, Pooc and Bulacao in Talisay City.

In Cebu City, the areas including Bulacao, Poblacion Pardo, Quiot Pardo, Kinasang-an, Basak San Nicolas, Mambaling, Duljo, San Nicolas Proper, Pahina San Nicolas, Sawang Calero, Suba Pasil, Pasil, Ermita, Punta Princesa, Tisa, Labangon, Calamba, Capitol site, Santa Cruz, Sambag 1 and 2, Cogon Ramos, San Antonio, Pahina Central Kalubihan, some parts of the downtown area, reclamation area, Carreta, pier area, M.J. Cuenco Avenue, Lahug, Apas, San Jose Talamban and Maria Luisa road area.

Barangays Punta Engaño and Babag 1 and 2 in Lapu-Lapu City and Liloan will also experience water interruption. Kara said households in elevated areas will be most affected by the water service interruption.
