AFTER successfully defending the country’s title in the SEABA Under-18 Championship last month, former Cesafi standouts Joshua Sinclair and Joshua Flores are set to take on a bigger challenge after they were tapped to represent the country in the 2016 Fiba 3×3 Under-18 Championships in Kazahkstan on June 1.

Sinclair and Flores, former Mythical Five members of the Cesafi during their time with Ateneo de Cebu and the University of the Visayas, respectively, are coming off a perfect run through the SEABA tournament in Indonesia, which gave them a spot in the Fiba-Asia Under-18 Championship this July.

Before that, they first must team up with Kyle Tan and John Lloyd Clemente and go up against the world’s best in a three-on-three setting.

“It really is amazing to be representing the country in another tournament. This will be the third country that I’ve visited this month all thanks to the Filipino basketball association. Nothing beats globetrotting to play the game you love for the country you love,” Sinclair said.

The three-on-three setting is nothing new for the 6-foot-4 forward after competing in the 2015 Fiba 3×3 World Tour Manila.
