My spin on the current street-style Sinulog look is neither localized or globalized. Rather, it’s a mash-up of international fashion influences, much like Cebu’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.

Take inspiration from this fusion of fun pieces, a fashion-forward mix of the new and old.

Go ahead! Strut your stuff on the street as you swing to the Sinulog beat.

Dancing Queen.

Shane rocks a white Lokal Sinulog maskara shirt, paired with Amano |indo-Malay maxi skirt, emblazoned with omaque fringed necklace and abaca hip belt. Completing the look is the red Festival Queen- inspired headpiece by Jongs Loquinario.

Rustic Chic

This modern Pocahontas-inspired look calls for attention in this tangy weaved ramie skirt by Anthill Fabric Gallery, matched with Lokal’s brown maskara shirt. Omaque’s golden wood baubles and Aliaz fringed clutch compliment this American Indian number.

A hint of neo-Spanish Filipino flair—teal blue bolero worn on top of Lokal’s figure print shirt. Aliaz fringed wrap overlaps the lilac mini flamenco skirt evokes the baro’t saya. Omaque’s tribal wood pieces complete the look.

LBD

On Monique: Lokal’s “multi masking” black tee paired with this hybrid skirt is a young take on street style Little Black Dress. Aqua clutch by Jasmine Alazas.

Indio Man

Out of Africa

An African detailed neck piece by Omaque gives a signature look for not so faint-hearted men, complimenting the black mesh top by Aliaz.

Javanese

An Indonesian influence, this yellow batik shawl from Lokal makes a better alternative to cover up inside Dinggoy Duterte’s scallop printed button down for men.

Blue Tone
