The Omega Pro Sports International has lined up a busy schedule for the next two months where it will showcase its pool of promising boxers.

Eight stalwarts of the Omega Boxing Gym will be seeing action in the Uptown Rumble card slated June 11 at One Mango in uptown Cebu City.

Set to see action in the free-to-the-public event are Jason Canoy, Jerry Castroverde, Jared Payao, Salatiel Amit, Ponciano Rimandiman, Jay-R Aliasot, Ar-Ar Borbon and Oliver Genecera.

Canoy will headline the card as he will duke it out with Margarito Moya of RWS Stable in the 10-round main event ecounter.

The co-main event, which will also be a 10-rounder fight, will have Castroverde taking on Hagibis Quinones of General Santos City.

The six-round duels will have Payao battling Pagadian City’s Jay-R Salvador and Amit slugging it out with Junriel Jimenez of CCSC-Chao SY Stable.

The six-round encounters will have Rimandiman versus Macmac Baribar and Aliasot against Holy Quiñones of General Santos City.

The four-rounder battles will have Borbon going up against Cebu City’s Ian Rafuela and Genecera taking on Bohol’s Jonard Tabar.

Also set to do battle in an eight-round showdown are Kim Jae Ho of Prime Boxing Gym and Ryan Quimbo of Compostela, Cebu.

Then on July 10, a double championship will mark the second installment of “Who’s Next?” Pro Boxing Series to be held at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

The main event will have Omega Gym’s prized ward Jhack Tepora putting his unbeaten record on the line against a still-undetermined foe.

Aside from keeping his immaculate slate intact, Tepora, who has 17 wins with 12 knockout victories, will try to defend his WBO Asia-Pacific Youth Superbantamweight crown.

The co-main event will have Kenny Demecillo putting his WBF Asia-Pacific Bantamweight crown on the line.

“We are still negotiating with their respective foreign opponents. We will make further announcement once the deals are finalized,” said Chad Canares, Vice President of Omega Pro Sports in yesterday’s press briefing at Manggahan Restaurant.

Canares said Omega Pro Sports is also looking ways to give its boxers a wide exposure.

“We are currently in negotiations with some networks to become our TV partner. Nothing is concrete yet but there had been communications,” Canares said.

The first installment of the “Who’s Next?” Pro Boxing Series was held last March 6 where Tepora defeated Jason Tinampay’s to snatch his current belt.

“The upcoming events are part of our commitment to give the Cebuanos quality fights and to show to the world that we can stage high-quality boxing events in our country,” said Pio Paulo Castillo, president of Omega Pro Sports.
