CEBUANO duathlete Joland Olmilla proved his readiness for the final leg of the Pilipinas Duathlon Series next week as he ruled the three-kilometer division of Saturday’s One Kapamilya Run Pamilyang Pilipino 2016 in San Fernando, Pampanga.
The 24-year old Olmilla did not show any signs of rust despite an injury layoff, breasting the tape in eight minutes and 36 seconds.
Olmilla is now preparing to bounce back big time next week as he guns a top 5 finish in the Pilipinas Duathlon Series Leg 3 on June 19 in Pampanga.
“Pilipinas Duathlon is next week and that’s what I’m preparing for. I really hope to make it into the Top 5,” said Olmilla who wound up last in the second leg of the race.
