1,600 Cebu City casual employees rehired

July 01,2016 - 10:18 PM

After their contracts ended on Thursday, contracts of 1,600 casual city employees were renewed on the first day of Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s administration.

According to Amay Abella, Cebu City Hall’s human resource and development head, the renewed casual employees will be working under the city’s health, traffic, and accounting departments.

“We are very sure that the city’s services will not be hampered. We have prioritized renewal of the employees in the services that are critical,” Abella said.

Abella added that these employees got an endorsement from the mayor.
