100 drug personalities surrender in Talamban

July 08,2016 - 12:43 PM

As the drive to eradicate drugs in the community, more drug personalities surrendered to the authorities in Cebu City Friday morning.

As of 11 in the morning, at least 100 drug users and pushers voluntarily surrendered to police at the Talamban Police Station in Barangay Talamban, Cebu City.

The surrenderees said they are willing to cooperate with police officers on their campaigns against illegal drugs.

Barangay Cambinukot Captain Reynold Lauron said he convinced three pushers and nine users from his barangay to also surrender to police officials in Talamban.

Station chief Percibal Miasco said they will be monitoring the surrenderees if they are really sincere with their promise to change and abandon drugs for good.

“We still need to monitor them if they are sincere in cooperating with our advocacy on anti-illegal drugs, so that we can take the necessary actions,” he said./UP Cebu Intern Morexette Erram
