Delos Santos bats for retention of health workers
Cebu City Councilor Mary Ann delos Santos is doing a study to justify the need to retain the services of barangay health workers.
Delos Santos, who was appointed deputy mayor for health, said while she supports the retention of barangay health workers it is up to Mayor Tomas Osmeña to decide whether or not to retain their services.
Delos Santos met with Osmeña on Thursday morning to ask the mayor to reconsider terminating the services of the health workers. She admitted that several BHWs have approached her to ask for her help.
