PRINCE Warehouse 2006, Crossfit Subtero-Primo Builders 2009 and Petron 2007 kickstarted their respective Division C campaigns on a winning note as they toppled their opponents in the 22nd Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Basketball Tournament Powered by Common Ground on Wednesday night at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
Prince Warehouse bested Bling Nation 2011, 54-53, thanks to a splendid all-around performance by Daren Ong, who had 19 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, two assists and a blocked shot.
Crossfit Subtero-Primo Builders got past Cottonseed 2008, 45-37, as Justin Gatchalian got loose for 12 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and a steal.
Petron 2007 also carved out a 54-27 win over Batch 2010 behind a balanced scoring attack led by Christian Pepito, Raymund Ortiz and Carlo Abalos who combined for more than half of the team’s total output.
