THE National Sports Stakeholders Forum or the Philippine Sports Summit starts today at the Crown Regency Hotel along Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.
Around 400 mayors and governors will take part in the major gathering for the development of the country’s sports.
Organized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), the summit was initially scheduled on Nov. 16 but was moved to a later date to give way to the recently concluded Asia-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) Summit held in Manila.
By attending the summit, the mayors and governors will be given a chance to watch their delegates in the National Finals of Batang Pinoy that will be hosted by Cebu City, Mandaue City and Danao City starting Friday.
PSC chairman Richie Garcia will grace today’s summit, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The main objective of the summit is to present and discuss the “Sports For All” programs of PSC.
