CCMC reports higher revenues in 2015

Despite having lesser admissions in 2015, the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) reported an increase in revenues last year as compared to 2014.

In a press briefing at City Hall yesterday, CCMC officials attributed the rise in earnings  to more stable systems in the hospital and the implementation of their No Balance Billing and Point of Care System of the PhilHealth.

Based on records, hospital revenues have ranged only from P4 million to P6 million every month from 2014 until June 2015.

CCMC hospital administrator Rey Cris Panugaling said the revenue increase came after the implementation of new policies.

The hospital earned P9.1 million in July; P10.9 million in August; P11.8 million in September; P12.2 million in October; P11.2 million in November and P12.2 million in December in 2015.

“With higher revenues, we can procure more equipment. The money can also be placed in the medical trust fund and can be used for improvement of facilities. It can also benefit the city government as a whole since eventually, this will mean lesser subsidy to be given to the hospital. If this continues, we can also have fiscal autonomy later on,” he explained.
