CEBUANO junior triathlete Andrew Kim Remolino put up a remarkable performance in his first international competition as he wound up the best Filipino finisher and ended sixth in the NTT ASTC Subic Bay International Triathlon-Subit over the weekend in Subic.
The 16-year-old Remolino clocked in at 1:02:04 just behind Hong Kong’s highly-touted triathletes Oscar Coggins (58:28), Michael Lam (58:52), Shing Him Yu (59:12), Tsz To Wong ( 1:00:31) and James Tan (1:01:24).
Remolino, who is on his first year of competing in triathlon races, will have a little time to celebrate as he gears up for the Asian Triathlon Championships in Hiroshima, Japan on April 29.
