AFTER a long lay-off, National University (NU)-bound Jan Godfrey Seno looks to claw back to the top ten of the Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA) rankings as he contends in the 16-under boys category of the Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala (PPS-PEPP) Olivarez Cup today at the Olivarez Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque.
Seno, who hails from Bogo City, Cebu, hasn’t competed in the past five months, which resulted to his major drop in the rankings as he found himself in the 59th spot after a ninth place finish in February.
The 16-year-old Seno is set to go up against Izaak Virtucio at 10 a.m. today.
Other Cebu bets who will be competing in the tournament are multi-titled tennis champion Chad Connor Cuizon and Lapu-Lapu City’s Tiffany Claire Nocos.
Nocos and Cuizon will be starting their campaign tomorrow with the former playing in the 12-under girls division and the latter battling in the 10-unisex classification.
