Man chains self to flagpole, names “7 pillars” including Duterte

CEBU CITY–Ten months after he chained himself to a flagpole at the Capitol, a native of Tudela town on Camotes Island western Cebu chained himself again, this time to a flagpole at Qimonda IT Center on Friday noon.
Ervin Gallo Oliveros tied one end of the chain around the flagpole while the other end was tied around his waist.
His demand: to be given a chance to convey what he claimed was an order from the “holy spirit” that sent him.
Oliveros claimed that the “holy spirit” wanted the country saved from slavery through a leader but the people wouldn’t follow their leader.
He added that the people may think that President Rodrigo Duterte’s way was effective in solving the problems of the country but in reality, it was not.

He then rambled on about how the “holy spirit” would send “7 pillars,” to the country. He identified them as Duterte, former president Fidel V. Ramos, president of the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines Socrates Villegas, Senator Manny Pacquaio, Senator Bong Biazon, Senator Ping Lacson and another whose name he could not remember.
Oliveros claimed that the “holy spirit” designated him as the “mother” of this country but he didn’t know to whom he would dedicate his tears.
Oliveros chained himself to a flagpole at the Capitol last October and demanded that Ramos, Pacquiao, Villegas and then Davao Mayor Duterte go to the Capitol.
He also named Ramos, Pacquiao, Duterte, Villegas as among the “7 pillars.”
After 10 minutes, Oliveros freed himself by removing the other end of the chain that was tied to the flagpole and then walked away.
