CEBUANA netter Tiffany Claire Nocos tallied successive victories to book a semifinal ticket in the 14-under Girls competition of the Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala (PPS-PEPP) yesterday at the Olivarez Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque.
Nocos, a native of Lapu-Lapu City, tripped Angelica Alcala, 7-5, 7-5, Alexa Milliam, 6-0, 7-5, before winning over Jhastine Red Ballado in the quarterfinals via walkover.
Nocos is set to take on the winner of the Macie Carlos-Dennise Bernardo match in the semis.
She also advanced to the quarterfinal round in the 12-under Girls’ division when she won over Sofia Gomez via walkover.
Other Cebu bets Jan Godfrey Seno and Chad Connor Cuizon also pulled off easy wins in their respective classifications.
Seno of Bogo City trampled Izaak Virtucio via walkover to move to the second round and take on Emmanuel Fuellas while Cuizon punched a ticket to the semifinals with triumphs over Chesie Reyes (W.O.) and Santiago Fandino, 4-0, 4-1, to set up a showdown with Marielle Jarata at 8 a.m. today.
