TODAY, it will be sunny in Cebu in the morning but will turn cloudy and rainy in the afternoon as thousands of triathletes take to the roads and waters of Metro Cebu from dawn until noon for the IronMan 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship triathlon.
Leo Aguirre, weather specialist from Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa) Mactan, said the rain expected this afternoon is due to an existing Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) in the Visayas area, but it will only be from light to moderate.
A typhoon outside the country will also bring rains in the Visayas, he added.
