Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña announced that he continues to be free of cancer after his annual medical exam at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houson, Texas.
A text message Osmeña sent to allies of Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) read “[A]ll clear, no signs of cancer.”
Osmeña, who left for Texas for his annual medical checkup last August 4, asked, in the same text, that his message be disseminated to their staff, barangay officials and BO-PK allies.
Osmeña was diagnosed with stage IV urinary bladder cancer in 2008 but has since been “cancer free.” He is currently in Texas and will return to Cebu on August 14.
