To shorten processing time for business permit applications and other related transactions, the Mandaue City government will activate its investment and promotion center.

Mandaue City Mayor Luigi Quisumbing said the Mandaue Investment and Promotion Center (MIPC) will serve as the business community’s link to City Hall.

“We are heeding the call of the President to shorten business processing time at City Hall. We want to make sure we provide permits without massive delays,” he said in a speech during the Mandaue Business Summit organized by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) on Wednesday.

Speaking to more than 300 businessmen at the Oakridge Pavillion in Mandaue City, Quisumbing said he will be appointing a member of the MCCI to head the MIPC so that the local business comumunity will be represented by one of its own at the City Hall.

The MCCI is composed of around 300 members, ranging from small entrepreneurs to large corporations based in Mandaue City.
