Five Cebu-based grads top physical, occupational therapy exams
Top 10 of the August 2016 Physical Therapist Examinations and Top 5 of the August 2016 Occupational Therapist Examinations (SCREEN GRAB FROM PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION)
A total of five graduates from Velez College in Cebu City have made it to the list of topnotchers in the 2016 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination and Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination.
Based from the result released on late Wednesday afternoon by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 846 out of 1,243 passed the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination while 114 out of 229 passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination .
The two licensure examinations were given by the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Cebu this month. The result was released after three working days from the last day of examinations.
Two graduates from Velez were among of the topnotchers in the PT licensure examination.
They were Kent Russell Tiu Siady who got 88.85% rating, enough for him to rank at 5th place while Kevin Ramir Sy Java Jr. in 7th place with 88.25% rating.
But the 1st placer for the PT exam went to James Michael Manansala Hernandez of Angeles University Foundation with his 90.25 percent rating.
Another three graduates from Velez College also made it to the topnotchers’ list in the OT examination.
Marjorie Ceniza Arpon topped all the examinees by getting 82%, making her the 1st placer.
While Ma Reva Lelis Tuozo and Au Bain Marie Miranda Ymbong both garnered 80.40%, placing them at 4th place.
Velez College was the second top performing school for the PT exam while Cebu Doctors University was the top performing school for OT.
