Fire razes houses in Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City

A fire hit Sitio Arca, Barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City at around 9:49 p.m., razing many houses made of light materials. According to reports, some houses were used as boarding houses.

The fire was placed on general alarm and Task Force Alpha or firetrucks from neighboring cities were asked to respond.

Radio reports said the fire quickly spread. Because of the intensity of the heat, some houses automatically combusted.

Firetrucks had a difficult time entering the area. Some residents reportedly heard explosions.

As of press time, firefighters had not yet placed the fire under control.
