A female traffic enforcer arrested two motorcycle-riding men on charges of possession of illegal drugs and guns Wednesday morning.
Perelyn Dosdos of the Cebu City Transportation Office said she flagged down the Jerry Gamboa at corner Osmeña Blvd and Escario Street in Cebu City at 7:55 am after she saw his backrider Glenn Losorata not wearing a helmet.
Dosdos said the motorcycle also didn’t have side mirrors and a plate number. “Didto na ko nagduda. (That’s when I began to suspect),” she said.
Dosdos said Gamboa asked permission to go inside a nearby La Fortuna bakery since he was purportedly hungry. A policeman assigned at the vicinity came and found a .38 revolver tucked on Losorata’s waist.
P01 Ronnie Gerardino also found inside Losorata’s backpack several sachets of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.
The policeman proceeded to the nearby bakery and arrested Gamboa who was in possession of one .45 pistol, one sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia. The suspects were detained at the Fuente police precinct.
