THE Canizares Architects led the cast of winning squads during the opening weekend of the URBAN Basketball League – Island Premium Paints Squad Cup 2016 at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
The Architects got past the LC Boyz, 59–52, behind Joevince Canizares’ 18 points.
Also winning were the Royal Brothers, who beat Oasis, 79–75.
Justin delos Reyes also tallied 13 to push Sneaks over Alpine, 59–52. ASPA also emerged victorious over Princess, 72–64, behind the 17 markers of Rory Paspie.
In other games, Mighty Bee trumped ITC, 62–61, as Rico Ramirez had 17 markers. The Renegades also won over Hotshots, 56–54.
