Skilled workers can now apply for overseas jobs with no placement fees.
This was according to Duterte Compañero Cayetano Tavang Volunteers (DCCTV) national chairman Dr. Nerito “Rey” Martinez in fulfillment of the promises made by President Duterte and his running mate Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano during the election campaign to lessen the burden of our skilled workers applying for jobs abroad.
DCCTV partner Al-Habeshi International Services recruitment agency launched on Thursday the Education-Employment-Deployment abroad with free airfare from Cebu to Manila and foreign destinations like Germany, Canada, Dubai, Doha Qatar, Singapore, Kuwait and Japan.
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) will give free training to deserving applicants. The government will also shoulder their medical exams and accommodations prior to overseas deployment.
During the launching, the regional heads of the different government agencies, such as the Department of Labor and Employment, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Bureau of Immigration, Tesda, Department of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, were invited to entertain questions raised by the different local government unit (LGU) representatives in Central Visayas and the media.
“Kinahanglan nga ang mga LGU nga gihatagan og mga application forms mao na’y mo-screen daan sa applicants nga angay gyud tabangan (The LGU who were given the application forms should be the ones to screen the applicants who deserve help),” said Martinez.
The DCCTV office is located on the fifth floor of The Big Hotel near Times Square in Parkmall Mandue, while the office of Al-Habeshi International Services is located at Carlos Perez Building on A.C. Cortes Avenue in Mandaue City.
The POEA will provide the list of job vacancies.
The Al-Habeshi International Services has partnered with the DCCTV program to manifest their support to President Rodrigo Duterte. The recruitment agency will also monitor the deployed skilled workers and make sure that they are treated well by their employers.
The DCCTV program will also be launched in Mindanao and Manila in the next few weeks.
