PDEA nabs 8 in separate buy-bust ops

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) on Friday arrested eight persons in two buy-bust operations in Barangay Calamba, Cebu City.

48-year-old mother Imelda Arroyo was caught in possession of nine bundles of dry marijuana leaves worth P4,500 inside the house of his 22-year-old son whom she said owns the prohibited items.

PDEA-7 agents also arrested seven persons, including the operator of an alleged drug den near A. Lopez Street in Barangay Calamba at around 10 p.m.

Seized from the possession of Gerald Botejo and his father Orencio were about 67 grams of shabu worth around P402,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, cellular phone, and cash amounting to P1,060.
