CEBUANO poomsae jins will try to improve their performances in this year’s M.V.P. Best of the Best Taekwondo Championships slated Sept. 4 at the SM Mall of Asia.
The University of San Carlos (USC) freestyle poomsae jins of coach Glenn Lava managed bronze medals in last year’s edition of the tournament since they were invited only a week before the tournament, which gave them a shorter time to prepare.
“They are more prepared and are training hard this year. Last year, they were informed in a very short notice,” Philippine Taekwondo Association-7 (PTA-7) Regional Director Tony del Prado told Cebu Daily News.
Also competing in the tournament will be the University of Cebu sparring team of mentor Michael Realista. The UC sparring team didn’t join last year because of the short notice.
