Two armed men rob eatery, abduct and rape 2 attendants

TWO armed men robbed a 24-hour eatery in Barangay Pitogo, Consolacion town, took P3,000 cash, abducted the two women attendants and allegedly raped them near the town’s cemetery.

Rick Saladaga, 43, owner of Atan’s Eatery in Barangay Pitogo, Consolacaion town in northern Cebu, reported the incident to the town’s police yesterday dawn.

PO1 Cresencio Saladaga, Consolacion Police Station desk officer, said they conducted a hot pursuit operation and barangay tanods later found the victims near the Tayud cemetery in Barangay Tayud.

PO1 Saladaga said the victims claimed that they were raped by the robbers.

The two victims, whose ages are 34 and 37, told police that two men entered the eatery at 3 a.m. pretending to be customers, but then pulled out guns and announced a hold up.

The victims said that the robbers took the P3,000 eatery sales and forced them at gunpoint to board the robbers’ red Rouser motorcycle.

They were later found at the Tayud cemetery where they claimed to have been raped by the two armed men.

They were brought to the barangay hall and later brought to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for physical examinations to determine if they were raped.

Police were still investigating the incident.
