Cops nab 7 men with P300K worth of drugs in separate operations

Seven persons were arrested in three separate drug operations in Lapu-Lapu City, which also yielded almost P300,000 worth of illegal drugs.

The Lapu-Lapu Police Station 5 (Pusok Police Station) caught live-in partners Wilson Fabrido, 33, and Mercedes Godinez, 53, in Sitio Acacia, Barangay Bankal in the 2:50 p.m. operation, said PO1 Jonel Dizon of Police Station 5.

Dizon said they confiscated 97 sachets of suspected shabu from the partners, which weighed 7.2 grams or worth P84,960.

Last Monday dawn, in Sitio Saac, Barangay Buaya, Senior Insp. Joey Bicoy, deputy chief of the City Intelligence Branch, said they arrested Angelito Galon, 43, of Barangay Buaya, Jayson Icoy, 26, of Barangay Mactan, and Ian Natingga, 22, of Barangay Basak.

They were caught with three medium packs and 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighting 15.68 grams or worth P185,024.

Last Sunday, Bicoy also said that they arrested Jemar Dihayco, 21, of Barangay Mactan and Carlo Booc, 19, of Barangay Mactan during a buy-bust operation.

The two men were caught with 62 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 2.52 grams, which is worth P29,736.

The suspects were detained at the Lapu Lapu City Police Office detention cell pending the filing of charges.
