AUTOLAB ‘99 pushed its winning streak to six after it creamed Ngohiong ‘94 (3–5), 77–49 in Division B of the PLDT SME Nation-Alfredo Gothong 21st SHAABAA Basketball Tournament last Sunday at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.
Jeremy Huang scored 17 points, Don Arago added 10 to help AutoLAB keep within step of league-leading Batch ’97, which totes a 7–0 (win-loss) card.
Choobi Bay Crab and Shrimp ‘91 solidified its grasp of third place with a 66–53 conquest of the White Gold Club ‘96 (3–4). Veteran cager Theogene Lim had 18, crafty guard Dennis Que had 11 while Grant Go pitched in 10 for Choobi Bay which now holds a 6–1 card.
Dynacast 2001 bagged its fifth game in seven tries with a 63–51 win over Batch ‘93.
JP Cabrera was the team’s leading scorer in that game with 15 as Dynacast kept Batch ‘93 winless in six games this season.
Finally, Batch ‘92 outclassed Batch ‘95, 54–51, behind Chris Aldeguer’s 17 markers and Alistair Yu’s 10. Both teams now tote identical 2–5 records.
