The two eatery attendants who were robbed and raped in Consolacion town last Tuesday dawn positively identified their tormentors as the same men who robbed a Mandaue City lodging house.
The two suspects identified as 30-year-old Rex Braga and 25-year-old Mark RJ Tampus were identified by the two women as having allegedly robbed the eatery’s P3,000 proceeds and then brought them at gunpoint to a cemetery in Barangay Tayud, Consolacion town where they were raped.
The suspects were traced by police through a mobile phone left by one suspect. Braga was shot in the chest by police when he fired at them and is now confined in a hospital.
The suspects were also responsible for the Road Side Lodging House robbery at Cansaga, Consolacion, taking P3,000 from cashier Jovelyn Gerondio.
