TALISAY City’s Kim Andrew Remolino dominated the Open division last Sunday in the 1st Philippine Aquathlon Championships at the Camayan Beach Resort in Subic Bay, Zambales.
Remolino who is now a member of the Philippine triathlon team according to his father and trainer Roland Remolino, timed 35 minutes and two seconds to beat Julius Constantino (35:14) and Mark Hosana (35:15).
He finished the first run in nine minutes and 14 seconds, 15:14 in the swim portion and 10:34 in the second run. The race has 2.5-kilometer run and 2.5k swim.
Remolino’s win in Subic came on the heels of his record breaking swim last Friday in the 21st Milo Little Olympics Visayas Regional Finals in Cebu.
He competed for the Talisay City Science National High School in the Milo games and broke the 2013 meet record of Jose Ereneta and Michael Ichiro Kong in the secondary boys 400m freestyle when he clocked 4:38.97 to break Kong and Ereneta’s 4:41.34 record.
