TWO fire incidents occurred in Cebu City an hour apart of each other yesterday afternoon.

A fire gutted a house made of light materials in Barangay Kalunasan at 12:20 p.m.

The house was owned by a baker named Biboy Formentera.

No one was hurt during the fire, which was allegedly caused by electrical misuse as the owner was away when one of the appliances broke down.

Senior Fire Officer Leo Magallon placed the damage at P5,000.

At 1:30 p.m., two houses were reduced to ashes while two more were partially burned after another fire hit the back portion of a public market in Banawa in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.

It was the second fire incident to hit the barangay following a previous incident last Sunday.

According to Senior Fire Officer Emiliano Daño Jr., the fire started at the residence of Conrado Arce. Damages were estimated at P80,000.

Daño said they have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
