Bosconians score big in Aboitiz Cup

THE Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) booters collected four wins in different categories last weekend in the 18th Aboitiz Football Cup played in different venues around the city.

At the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) field in Canduman, DBTC collected two wins in the under-seven mixed division by routing fellow Bosconians DBTC-A, 10-2 and DBTC B, 2-0.

Last Saturday, DBTC’s under-13 boys squad crushed Giuseppe FC, 7-0 in the former’s home court in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City. The Bosconians then edged Springdale FC, 3-2, in the under-11 mixed division at the latter’s own turf at the PAREF Springdale football pitch in Barangay Lahug.

Giuseppe FC meanwhile, finished its weekend with two wins. In the under-seven division played at the SHS-AdC football pitch, they overpowered Springdale FC B, 14-0 and manhandled Warshockz FC, 7-0, over at the PAREF Springdale football pitch.

Meanwhile, Inter-company defending champion Leylam FC claimed their second win in the division after defeating Voice Qnnect, 5-0 at the PAREF Springdale football pitch.
Joining Leylam FC on the winning side were San Miguel FC, ERCO FC and Makoto FC.

San Miguel FC blanked Titans FC, 3-0; ERCO FC trounced PTY FC, 3-0 while Makoto FC clipped Cherelin FC, 1-0.

On the other hand, Saint Theresa’s College beat arch rival SHS-AdC, 4-2, at the latter’s home pitch in the girl’s under-18 division while CIS bowed down to Giuseppe FC, 8-0.
STC’s under-15 girls squad meanwhile, battered sister team STC B, 21-0, while SHS-AdC nipped Giuseppe FC, 1-0.
