DORMAKABA continued its reign of terror in the Architects + Engineers Basketball Association Corporate Cup as it beats down Sea Olympus, 58-44, last Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.
The game was a rematch of the heated championship game in the Davies Paints Cup earlier this year. This time, Dormakaba refused to budge even in the face of immense pressure from Sea Olympus to capture its third straight win and bring its victims down to 1-2 (win-loss).
Dormakaba’s frontcourt was dominant all game long as they outrebounded Sea Olympus, 47-32.
The team’s new recruit, Jessie Paradero and Niel Benedicto both had double-doubles with the former posting 16 points and 12 rebounds and the latter notching 13 markers and 10 boards.
Ayi Armenion led Sea Olympus with 17 points.
Davies Paints now 3-0
In other games, Davies Paints kept in step with Dormakaba as it defeated Phoenix, 68-64, to improve to 3-0.
Phoenix on the other hand, dropped to 1-2.
Megabond got its first win of the tournament after it clobbered Fenestram, 78-64.
