THE Mandaue City government is doubling its efforts in alleviating traffic problems in the city.
As part of the campaign against traffic violations and overloading, the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM) is strengthening their ranks through seminars and trainings.
In a press conference held yesterday at the Mandaue City Hall, lawyer James Allan Sayson from the city legal office said the city government is drafting a memorandum of agreement with the Mandaue City Police Office’s traffic division to train TEAM personnel on traffic sketching.
Since TEAM personnel are usually the first responders during a vehicular accident, knowledge in traffic sketching will be important. Not waiting for the MCPO traffic division to investigate the vehicular accident will reduce the time for the vehicles to cause a road obstruction. The obstruction will be pulled out faster and traffic flow will resume to its normal. The training will be done in batches and will be scheduled based on the available time of the TEAM personnel so as not to compromise the traffic operations in the city.
